Privacy Policy

NoorShield helps you lower your gaze. When you turn on Noor Mode, it reads the contents of your screen in real time, detects faces and their gender on your device, and draws an opaque cover over the people you choose to cover (women, men or both) as they appear. It is a tool for personal modesty.

All analysis (screen capture, face detection, and gender classification) happens locally on your phone using on-device models. Screen frames are held in memory only long enough to draw the cover and are then discarded. Nothing is written to permanent storage and nothing is transmitted off your device.

None. NoorShield has no servers and no backend. It does not create an account, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not send your screen, images, usage, or personal information anywhere.

Your settings (such as language, cover style, and sensitivity) are stored only in the app's private storage on your device.

• Screen capture (MediaProjection): requested each time you activate Noor Mode, used only to read the screen locally so it can be covered. The capture stops when you stop Noor Mode.
• Accessibility service: used only to draw fully opaque covers on top of other apps. See section 5.
• Display over other apps: a fallback to draw covers when the accessibility service is turned off (Android then limits covers to partial opacity).
• Notifications: to show the ongoing controls (Pause / Resume / Stop) and the resume prompt after a restart.
• Run at startup: only to offer a one-tap resume notification after your phone reboots. It never re-enables screen capture without your explicit consent.

NoorShield offers an Android accessibility service for one purpose only: to draw fully opaque covers over people on your screen. Android does not let ordinary overlays be fully opaque, so without this service covered people would stay partly visible.

Through this service NoorShield does not read, collect, store or share any screen content, anything you type, or your actions, and it does not act on other apps on your behalf. It subscribes to no accessibility events and cannot retrieve window content.

The app explains this and asks for your consent before sending you to turn the service on. You can turn it off at any time in Android's accessibility settings; NoorShield keeps working with see-through covers.

NoorShield does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

The app itself contains no third-party analytics or advertising services. This website may link out to external pages (for example a feedback form and social media); those services have their own privacy policies.
